**Job description: Lab Technician - Science & Humanities**

**Essential and desirable Educational qualifications and experience for the job**:
1. B.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Bio - Chemistry/Biology/D Pharm

2. Minimum 3+ years of experience in Engineering colleges

3. Industrial experience is an added advantage

.**Job Requirement**: Lab Technician requirement for Physics/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology/D-Pharm/CSE

**Roles and Responsibilities**

1. Maintaining the cleanliness of the Lab all the time.

2. Preparing the lab for doing the experiments by placing the instruments in the appropriate place prior to the Lab session.

3. Switch off the computers, the lights and the fans as and when the Lab session is over and making sure that the power is not wasted.

4. Opening and closing of the Lab every day.

5. Keeping the Lab instruments in its place after the completion of the Lab hours.

6. Checking the Lab completely before closing every evening.

7. Maintaining the in and out register for the students.

8. During the Lab examinations should assist the examiners.

**Tasks of the job**:
1. Maintaining two stock registers, one for consumable and another one for non consumable items

2. Maintaining the stock record and updating it as and when new items are purchased.

3. Informing the HOD about the requirement of the consumable items well in advance.

4. Separating the damaged consumable items from the good ones, so that the students will not waste their time performing the experiments with the damaged ones.

5. Lab technician should have known the working principle of each and every instrument and the equipment’s.

6. Ensuring the safety of the students all the times.

7. Calibrating the instruments periodically and making sure all are in working condition.

8. If any instrument is damaged by the students, it should be recorder subsequently it should be informed to the concerned HOD.

**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
