Incident manager (Hadoop & Netezza)

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of Hadoop support engineers to provide 24/7 production support.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Hadoop cluster issues related to performance, availability, and scalability.
Ensure high availability of Hadoop clusters through proactive capacity planning, tuning, and incident management.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to implement best practices in Hadoop administration.
Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and DevOps tools.
Manage and optimize Hadoop cluster security, compliance, and governance policies.
Oversee upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities with mínimal downtime.
Define and implement SLAs, incident response plans, and escalation procedures for Hadoop operations.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor and train support engineers, ensuring skill development and knowledge sharing.
8 years of experience in Hadoop production support or administration.
Expertise in Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, Spark, Impala, Kafka, etc.).
Strong experience in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
