**Job Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database systems tailored to business requirements.
Develop and optimize database structures, including schema design, indexes, and views to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business analysts, to understand data requirements and create efficient database solutions.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning techniques.
Define and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures for consistency and reliability across the organization.
Perform data migration, data integration, and ensure the integrity of data across different platforms.
Work on backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for databases to ensure high availability and business continuity.
Research and implement new database technologies and techniques to optimize business processes and support growth.
Review database design and implementation, ensuring compliance with best practices, security standards, and regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Conduct regular audits of database systems and provide recommendations for improvements.
Create and maintain documentation for database architecture and related systems.

**Requirements**:
Proven experience as a Database Architect, Database Administrator (DBA), or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server), and distributed databases.
Proficiency in database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with cloud database solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerized databases (e.g., Kubernetes).
Expertise in data modeling, schema design, and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration tools.
Strong knowledge of database security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Experience with high-availability architectures and scaling database systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with database automation tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for database changes.
Knowledge of data governance, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
