1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate the cattle feed market in the designated area. This includes identifying target customers, setting sales objectives, and establishing pricing strategies in alignment with company goals.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including livestock farmers, dairy farms, and feed dealers. Provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Set ambitious sales targets for the area and develop action plans to achieve them. Monitor sales performance regularly and take corrective actions as needed to meet or exceed sales goals.
4. Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Use insights gained to adjust sales strategies and develop new business opportunities.
5. Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives or field agents within the area. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve sales targets.
6. Work closely with distribution partners and channel dealers to ensure timely delivery of cattle feed products to customers. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics teams to optimize distribution processes.
7. Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for the area. Analyze sales data to evaluate performance against targets and identify areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to senior management to support decision-making processes.
- Proven experience in sales or marketing roles within animal feed industry, with a focus on cattle feed products preferred.
- Strong understanding of cattle feed nutrition, farming practices, and livestock management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing sales teams.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in market analysis and sales forecasting.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the designated area.
