**Job Title: Credit Control Officer**

**Location**: Indore / Dewas

**Department**: Finance/Accounting

**Reports to**: Credit Manager/Finance Manager

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Credit Control & Collection**:

- Manage and maintain customer accounts to ensure payments are collected within the agreed terms.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers in a professional manner.
- Ensure all credit control processes and policies are followed accurately and consistently.

**Credit Risk Assessment**:

- Conduct credit checks and risk assessments for new and existing customers.
- Assess and manage the credit limits for customers, reviewing their financial standing and payment history regularly.

**Reporting & Documentation**:

- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on aged receivables, overdue accounts, and bad debt provisions.
- Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly reports on collections, outstanding balances, and any actions taken.

**Customer Relations**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing a point of contact for credit-related queries.
- Resolve customer complaints and disputes in a timely and professional manner, aiming for a mutually beneficial solution.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the sales and finance teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to payments, invoices, or account balances.
- Provide regular feedback and updates to management on the status of outstanding debts and credit control efforts.

**Compliance & Policies**:

- Ensure adherence to company credit policies and relevant regulations.
- Review and propose improvements to existing credit control procedures to enhance efficiency.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit control or accounts receivable. Experience with ERP systems and credit management software is a plus.
- **Skills**: Strong understanding of credit control principles and processes. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage a high volume of accounts while maintaining attention to detail.
- **Personal Attributes**: Self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflicts effectively. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on results.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
