**About this role**
A scrum master is a team leader in the agile development realm. and duties include mentoring lower-level scrum masters Leads and oversees Agile processes and practices and is responsible for removing blockers and driving collaboration within and outside the Squad.
Responsible for shifting and transforming the mindset of members of the Tribe to become more agile. A Senior scrum master will support the agile coach will educate and mentor all levels of the Tribe to use Agile techniques and foster agile mindset.
**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Where applicable Facilitate all Scrum Ceremonies (daily stand up, sprint review, and sprint retrospective, demos/showcases) with full Squad engagement, working with the Squad to continually refine and improve
- Guide the Squad’s on how to use Scrum and Agile practices and methodologies appropriately
- Optimise Squad allocation and utilisation by guiding the Squad on how to get the most of out of self-organization, using team metrics to drive performance
- Shields the Squad from external interference and ensure the Squad is fully functional and productive
- Removes blockers that inhibit productivity (when individuals themselves cannot reasonably resolve them) and escalates as required
- Facilitate the Squad to become self-organising and cross-functional, fosters close cooperation across all Squad members, encourage cross-training and supporting each other
- Supports Product Owners on release planning
- Leverage the Scrum Master community to identify inhibitors of Agile ways of working and drive the resolution of these to enable the successful Agile delivery
- Continually inspect and adapt the Squad’s ways of working
- Support the agile coach to train Tribe Leads, Tribe Technical Leads and members of the squads on Agile best practices Be a role model for Agile within the organization, ensuring that all stakeholders understand the Agile principles and the part they need to play to contribute to successful delivery
- Support the agile coach to shape the continuous improvement mindset of the organisation, create high-performing Squads focused on customer centricity and value
- Support the agile coach to Foster self-organisation and collaboration with and between Squads
- Support the agile Coach and provide tailored expertise across multiple teams to assess and uplift Agile maturity (e.g. clear alignment with goals, breaking down work consistently, savvy backlog management, servant leadership mindset, etc)
- Support the agile Coach Working collaboratively, deliver an uplift in Agile capability through training, workshops, coaching, mentoring etc
- Share Agile Industry trends and best practices, and contribute thought leadership
