Import - Bill of Entry Executive

**Job Summary**:
Responsible for preparing and filing import documentation, particularly **Bill of Entry (BoE)**, ensuring timely and compliant customs clearance of imported goods. The role requires coordination with customs brokers, freight forwarders, port authorities, and internal departments to facilitate smooth import operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Preparation & Filing**:
- Prepare Bills of Entry accurately using ICEGATE or EDI systems.
- Verify import documentation including Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, **Import License**, and other required documents.
- Ensure compliance with customs rules, import regulations, and DGFT policies.
- **Coordination**:
- Liaise with CHA (Customs House Agent), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for timely clearance.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, finance, and warehouse) regarding incoming shipments.
- **Customs Compliance**:
- Classify goods using correct HS Codes.
- Calculate applicable duties, tariffs, and taxes.
- Handle Duty Drawback, DEEC, EPCG, or other incentive scheme documents when applicable.
- **Follow-up & Reporting**:
- Track shipment clearance status and update stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation and records as per customs audit requirements.
- Generate daily/weekly import status reports.
- **Problem Resolution**:
- Address customs queries, amendments, and post-clearance issues.
- Handle re-assessment, demurrage, or detention-related matters, if any.
**Key Skills & Competencies**:
- Knowledge of Indian Customs Act, FTP, GST, and Import Procedures.
- Hands-on experience with ICEGATE, EDI systems, and customs portals.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
**Qualifications**:
- Graduate (preferably in Commerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain).
- Certification in Import/Export Management (preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience in handling **Import Bill of Entry documentation.**
**Desirable Traits**:
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle pressure situations.
- Familiarity with bonded warehouse procedures (optional).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
