Job Responsibility

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage all merchant banking activities, including IPOs, rights issues, takeovers, buybacks, and other advisory services.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the merchant banking team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with SEBI guidelines and other regulatory requirements, managing the reporting and documentation necessary for compliance.
- Oversee the due diligence process, financial analysis, and valuation of companies for various transactions.
- Guide and mentor junior team members, providing insights into deal structuring and execution.
- Identify new business opportunities within the merchant banking landscape and contribute to business growth.
- Represent the organization in discussions with clients, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in merchant banking, with a focus on capital raising, M&A advisory, and regulatory compliance.

Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of SEBI regulations, Companies Act, and other relevant laws governing the merchant banking sector.

**Skills**:

- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- High attention to detail and an aptitude for compliance and regulatory reporting.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications from NISM.

Key Competencies:

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking with an aptitude for risk assessment and mitigation.
- Proven track record of successful deal closures and client management in merchant banking.

Qualification

A CA,CS or CWA, Master degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
