**Job Description -Urban/Regional Planner (8-10 Years’ Experience)**

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the team for preparation of master plans, zonal plans, town planning schemes, investment plans, city development strategies and frameworks.
- Provide expert inputs on policy formulation, zoning regulations, land-use management and sustainable urban development.
- Oversee large-scale urban planning projects from conception to execution.
- Mentor and guide junior planners, ensuring quality output and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate with Central/State Govt Bodies and Urban Local Bodies, consultants and stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
- Anticipate and address urban challenges, proposing innovative, future-proof solutions.
- Conduct in-depth research, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for urban projects.
- Utilize GIS, data analytics and advanced planning tools for evidence-based decision-making.
- Evaluate environmental, social and economic implications of urban development initiatives.
- Engage with communities to ensure inclusive and participatory planning processes.
- Represent the organization in public forums, policy discussions and high-level meetings.
- Foster strong partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions and government agencies.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, or related discipline.
- 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in urban/regional planning, preferably in large-scale or complex planning projects.
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation, development control regulations and sustainable urban development frameworks.
- Proficiency in GIS, CAD and advanced planning software.
- Excellent written, communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and deliver projects within time and budget.
- Experience in engaging with Central/State Govt Bodies and Urban Local Bodies is desired.
