Job Summary

An Agile Coach uses agile expertise to enhance delivery and culture for lasting agility in teams. They employ tools and practices to boost agility, value, and continuous learning. As a coach, trainer, mentor, and leader, they build relationships and environments for high-performing teams. They influence, not direct, to improve efficiency, speed, and quality while reducing costs. Without engaging in development, they promote lean and agile methods to improve technical agility and flow. They guide on agile development, testing, and deployment, advising when to involve experts for team development.

Essential Job Functions
- Coaching - Provides input, guidance and assistance in Agile practices. Help teams and individuals adopt and improve their understanding and practice of Agile methodology. Assist in the development of Agile training programs and materials. Act as a change agent to ensure that the organization continues to improve its Agile practice.
- Technology - Leverage empirical data to identify and propose ways of working that improve the delivery of value.
- Building Partnerships - Provide guidance to team members and teams on Agile best practices. Promote collaboration between team members and stakeholders. Coach and mentor teams and individuals on agile principles, values, and practices.
- Execution - Reduce waste and build efficiencies in processes, interactions, governance, documentation, and tools. Identify areas of improvement and implement changes to optimize Agile processes. Act as Scrum Master by facilitating Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, etc. as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
- Agile coaching certification
- 5+ years Agile coaching, Scrum Master, or related roles.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum principles, methodology, and practices such as Scrum, Kanban, and/or Lean.
- Experience with Agile tools and frameworks, such as JIRA, Trello, or Agile Central.
- Experience in software development or IT project management.
- Experience with DevOps principles and practices.
