- Plan and execute menus in collaboration with the restaurant management, considering seasonal availability of ingredients and customer preferences.
- Maintain inventory levels of Chinese ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed to ensure freshness and availability.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in Chinese cooking techniques, recipes, and food safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste by accurately portioning ingredients and controlling portion sizes.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new dishes and promotions to attract and retain customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment maintenance and routine cleaning schedules.
