Quality Checker

Job Summary:
The Quantity Checker in a construction firm is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of materials and supplies used on construction sites. This role involves verifying the quantities of materials delivered, used, and stored, reporting any discrepancies, and maintaining detailed records. The Quantity Checker is crucial in supporting project timelines, budget adherence, and overall quality control on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Verification of Quantities: Inspect and verify quantities of materials delivered to construction sites against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.

On-Site Checks : Regularly check quantities of materials in use and in storage on-site to ensure accuracy.

Recording Discrepancies: Identify, document, and report any discrepancies in material quantities to the Site Manager and Procurement Team.

Inventory Audits : Conduct periodic audits of on-site inventory to ensure accurate records and prevent material shortages or excesses.

Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of quantity checks, delivery notes, inventory audits, and discrepancy reports.

Coordination: Work closely with suppliers, site managers, and procurement teams to resolve quantity-related issues promptly.

Compliance: Ensure all quantity checking activities comply with company policies, construction standards, and safety regulations.

Reporting : Prepare and submit regular reports on material quantities, discrepancies, and actions taken to resolve issues to the Site Manager.

Continuous Improvement : Recommend and implement improvements to quantity checking processes and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:
Education: BTech / MTech Civil Engineering. Additional education or certification in construction management, quantity surveying, or related fields is a plus.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
