**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes with a focus on taste, presentation, and quality.
- Develop and design menus in collaboration with the Head Chef, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor food stock and ingredients; coordinate with suppliers for timely ordering and replenishment.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in Chinese cooking techniques and kitchen best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Innovate and introduce new dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Control portion sizes and minimize food waste.
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of meals during service hours.
- Adapt recipes and methods to accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- In-depth knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, spices, sauces, and cooking tools (e.g., wok cooking, steaming, dim sum preparation).
- Ability to prepare dishes across various Chinese regional cuisines is a plus.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working in high-end restaurants, hotels, or international kitchens.
- Multilingual skills - especially Mandarin or Cantonese - are an added advantage.
- Knowledge of cost control and kitchen budgeting.
