**What You'll Be Doing**:
**This dynamic role involves a variety of responsibilities, including**:
- **Answering phone calls**:You'll be the voice of the dental practice, providing a warm and professional greeting to all callers.
- **Scheduling appointments**: Efficiently schedule appointments for new and existing patients, considering dentist availability, patient preferences, and treatment requirements.
- **Providing information**:Answer inquiries about services offered, office hours, location, insurance coverage, payment options, and other relevant details.
- **Verifying insurance**: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate billing and a smooth payment process.
- **Confirming appointments**:Proactively confirm scheduled appointments with patients, reducing no-shows and maximizing efficiency.
- **Handling patient inquiries and complaints**:Effectively address patient inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- **Updating patient records**:Accurately update patient information in the system, ensuring all data is current and complete.
- **Making outbound calls**:Contacting patients for appointment reminders, follow-up care, and special promotions.
- **Collaboration with the dental team**:Communicating effectively with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- **Maintaining a clean and organized workspace**:Ensuring a professional and efficient work environment.
**Who We're Looking For**:

- **Excellent Communication Skills**: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and colleagues.
- **Exceptional Customer Service Skills**: A patient and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to help others is critical.
- **Strong Organizational Skills**: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
- **Proficiency in Computer Skills**: Experience using computers, phone systems, and dental software is highly desirable.
- **Knowledge of Dental Terminology (preferred)**: While not always required, familiarity with basic dental terminology can be beneficial.
- **High School Diploma or Equivalent**:A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
