**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Set up CNC machines (lathe, milling, VMC, etc.) based on work instructions and drawings.
- Operate CNC machines to produce components as per specified tolerances.
- Read and interpret **engineering drawings, tool layouts, and machining instructions**.
- Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for production runs.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure optimum efficiency.
- Conduct in-process inspection of parts using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauges, CMM if required).
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of machines.
- Maintain accurate records of production and quality checks.
- Follow workplace safety, housekeeping, and 5S practices.
- Collaborate with the quality team to resolve issues and achieve zero-defect output.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- 2-5 years of experience in CNC machine setting and operation (preferably in forging/machining industry).
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming basics (Siemens controls preferred).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and GD&T.
- Familiar with measuring instruments and quality inspection tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required.
