**Psychology Counselor Role Background**:

Healthy school environments result in holistically healthy children Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Psychology Experience: At Least 3-5 years’ experience in the field of psychological counseling, preferably in an educational setting based in Ahmedabad.

**Role and Responsibilities**: The role of a psychology counselor at Redbricks School includes various areas such as:
1. **Promoting Students’ Socio-Emotional Wellbeing**
- Design and implementation of the school’s life skills development curriculum
- Early identification and behavior modification strategies for specific students
- Individual and Group counseling of children for navigating emotions and socio emotional skills building
- Guiding Teachers for adopting child-centric and effective classroom management / guidance practices
- Guiding Parents/Guardians through individualized counseling on need basis

2. **Supporting Students’ Academic Success**
- Early identification of students’ requiring academic support in collaboration with teachers
- Planning academic interventions to support struggling students in collaboration with teachers
- Monitoring student progress with interventions and coordinating for any special modifications/external interventions as may be required
- Designing and implementing career guidance activities for older students

3. **Promoting Teacher Wellbeing and Development**
- Building teachers’ mindsets and capacities to understand and work with children effectively through training and coaching
- Helping teachers problem-solve classroom related / student related socio-emotional challenges
- Planning and implementing various activities for promoting teacher well-being and a healthy staff culture
- Guiding and Training teachers to build their own socio-emotional competencies

4. **Guiding Parents & Families**
- Planning and implementing parent education programs related to enhancing children’s socio-emotional well-being and their own parenting skills
- Designing communication materials and strategies related to building parent awareness about important issues and practices related to student well-being
- Conducting need-based parent/family counseling in the interest of student well-being

5. **Promoting a School-wide SEL Culture**
- Planning and engaging in various activities towards developing a healthy school-wide socio-emotional (SEL) culture (eg. design and implementation of policies, practices, structures)

Pay: ₹10,352.93 - ₹40,355.98 per month
