The role requires to Plan, implement, control, and improve inbound logistics network for Ford IMG plants while ensuring cost, process, and operational efficiencies.
- Good experience (5+ years) in Logistics network planning/operations and freight management.
- Exposure to Transportation concepts and Digital Tools
- Possess Good business acumen in Logistics, Supply chain, Network Design, TMS, Optimization, Dock schedule
- Preferably possess a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Post Graduation / MBA
- Excellent Analytical, Oral & Written Communication skills
- Hands on experience in digital tools / platforms (like TMS, LMS, Optimizer, Route Planner, ERP)
- Ability to analyze opportunities in logistics network with respect to cost, cube, mode, frequency, transit time, inventory, multi model, fleet customization etc
- Good Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills to arrest day to day operational issues and concerns
- Ensure seamless traffic, vehicle call In, returnable flow and unloading operation at plant with Nil production issues.
- Ensure Continuous improvement in Dock Schedule Compliance, Turn around time. Dock Balancing, In plant traffic and fleet rotation.
- Coordinate with Suppliers on window time compliance and TAT improvement.
- Process Innovation and Automation to achieve process and operation efficiency in Domestic Transportation.
- Drive Improvement in Key KPI - On Tim Pick Up, On time Delivery, Transit Time Adherence, Dock Schedule Adherence, Plan Vs Actual Load Performance
- Should collaborate with other countries and regions, flexible working hours / time zones.
- Plan periodic Load / Physical Audit of the Trucks to improve Cube Utilization
