**Position Overview**:
Multi Super Specialty Hospital in Jalandhar, Punjab, is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Duty Medical Officer to join our dedicated healthcare team. The Duty Medical Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care and maintaining patient safety within our hospital premises.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide round-the-clock medical coverage and supervision in various hospital departments, including the emergency department, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics.
- Conduct initial medical assessments and triage patients presenting to the emergency department, prioritizing care based on the severity of their conditions.
- Evaluate and manage medical emergencies and stabilize critically ill or injured patients before transferring them to appropriate specialty services, if necessary.
- Respond promptly to medical alerts and codes within the hospital, providing immediate medical intervention and coordinating with other healthcare providers as needed.
- Monitor the condition and progress of admitted patients, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and communicate updates to attending physicians and nursing staff.
- Perform routine medical procedures and interventions, such as wound care, intravenous therapy, and medication administration, in accordance with established protocols and standards of care.
- Document all patient encounters, assessments, treatments, and interventions accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record system.
**Qualifications**:
- Medical degree (BAMS OR MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Medical Officer in India.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of clinical experience working in a hospital setting, with exposure to emergency medicine and acute care management.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patient cases simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and provide effective leadership during medical emergencies.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 duty roster.
