**Minimum Qualifications & Experience**:
**Technical Profile**:

- Degree in Computer Science or a technology-related field.
- Professional Information Security certification (CISSP, PMP, ITIL Foundation or other security certification/accreditation)
- Experienced in an information security role.
- Solid knowledge of various information security frameworks.

**Soft Skills**:

- Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities will vary day to day and may include:
**Monitoring cyber threats, security risks and security controls**:

- Identifying vulnerabilities in our current network.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to secure our computing network.
- Monitoring network usage to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Keeping up to date with developments in IT security standards and threats.
- Performing penetration tests to identify any vulnerabilities.
- Join the Change Approval Group (CAG) meetings and participate in the review and analysis of potential weaknesses introduced.
- Join the Information Security Risk Committee (ISRC) meetings and make recommendations for improving controls and practices to reduce risks related to information security.

**Reporting and Training**:

- Conduct periodic assessments and regular monitoring of Novotech's information security controls and practices to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with the IT Systems team to improve security.
- Evaluates security incidents and determines what response, if any, is needed and coordinates responses, including technical incident response teams, when a security breach occurs.
- Documenting any security breaches and assessing their damage.
- Develop information security awareness training and training programs to educate users about best practices for information security.

**WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT**:

- Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
- No regular travel required.
