**Job Summary**

The Lab Assistant will support practical learning, research, and technical operations across multiple departments, including Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Information Technology (IT). The role involves preparing lab setups, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, assisting faculty and students, and ensuring lab safety and organization.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare, set up, and dismantle equipment and materials for lab sessions and experiments across all relevant disciplines.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab instruments such as:

- **ECE**: Oscilloscopes, signal generators, microcontroller kits, communication systems.
- **EEE**: Electrical machines, transformers, power supplies, control systems.
- **CSE**: Computers, networking devices, software environments.
- **IT**: Servers, virtualization platforms, cloud and cybersecurity tools.
- Assist students with understanding lab procedures and ensuring safe experiment conduct.
- Support faculty during practical classes, demonstrations, and departmental projects or workshops.
- Maintain accurate inventory of lab materials, components, tools, and software licenses.
- Keep labs clean, organized, and compliant with institutional safety protocols.
- Assist with documentation such as maintenance logs, procurement requests, and usage records.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a lab support or technical role is preferred but not mandatory.

**Required Skills**:

- Good understanding of the basic equipment and systems relevant to the assigned department(s).
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic hardware or computer systems.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, electrical machines, programming environments, or IT infrastructure depending on department.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow technical and safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills for assisting students and collaborating with faculty.
