**Job Purpose**
- Responsible for PAN India fiber planning, budgeting and capex approval as per AOP.
- End to end route planning mobility and enterprise business.
- GIS based route planning to optimize cost of delivery for mobility & enterprise.
- IRU route finalization planning and signoff along with other operators.

**Key Result Areas/Accountabilities**
- Increase fiber penetration for mobility and enterprise services by cost effective and efficient planning & budgeting.
- Responsible for annual Capex & route replacement capex forecast and control.
- Optimal utilization of Fiber Capex to deliver best in class and scalable fiber infrastructure with resiliencies to ensure high standard network uptime.
- Finalize fiber architecture as per IP and Optics network architecture.
- Decide right mix of OWN and IRU fiber for NW architecture.
- Digitize fiber assets by onboarding GIS tool and route mapping.
- Ensure all routes are having necessary local bodies’ permissions and approval.
- Timely IRU payments and receivables as per contractual agreements.
- Work closely with other technology, finance and SCM function to deliver VIL objectives.

**Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience**
- 15-20 years of Telecom experience and Proficiency in understanding overall transport NW architecture and key cost drivers.
- Understanding of IP/MPLS & Optics NW architecture to build scalable fiber NW.
- Sound understanding of Capex and budgetary skills to derive best out of NW at lowest possible cost.
- Strong leadership skill, team building and inter-personal relationship skill to excel cross functional projects and ensure best customer experience. Ability to make timely decisions and troubleshoot with strong vendor governance.
- Overall understanding of financial model to support new Fibre vertical. Also should have clear understanding of evolving Govt. policies related to ROW, so as to align the process for optimizing the cost.
- Strong Stakeholder management, Negotiation skills and Strategic mind set to make win-win alliance with TSP partners and IRU partners.
- Strong Telecom industry body connect.

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**
