**Job Description: Upper Primary Science Teacher**

**Position**: Upper Primary Science Teacher
**Location**: Harsha International Public School
**Employment Type**: Full-time
**Reports To**: Principal

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities:Lesson Planning & Teaching**:

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and learning objectives.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, including hands-on experiments, discussions, and technology integration.
- Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and scientific exploration.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and projects, and provide constructive feedback.

**Classroom Management & Student Engagement**:

- Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom atmosphere that supports student learning.
- Encourage student participation and facilitate discussions to enhance understanding of scientific concepts.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.

**Assessment & Reporting**:

- Conduct periodic assessments and maintain records of student performance.
- Prepare progress reports and communicate effectively with parents regarding student development.
- Identify students needing extra support and provide necessary interventions.

**Professional Development & Collaboration**:

- Stay updated with the latest developments in science education and pedagogy.
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and workshops to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and activities.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Organize and supervise science-related extracurricular activities, such as science fairs or field trips.
- Ensure the safe use of laboratory equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the school administration.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, Education, B.ed
- **Experience**: Prior teaching experience in upper primary/middle school preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for science and the ability to inspire students.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators.
