**Location**: Shalom Backpackers Hostel, Anjuna, Goa
**Job Summary**:
As a Front Desk Executive at Shalom Backpackers Hostel in Anjuna, Goa, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the hostel. Your role will involve handling reservations, check-ins, check-outs, inquiries, and various administrative tasks to ensure a positive and memorable experience for our guests.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Guest Services**:
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and assist them with check-ins and check-outs.
- Provide information about the hostel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay.
- **Reservations and Bookings**:
- Coordinate with the reservations team to ensure room availability and allocation according to guest preferences.
- Process payments, deposits, and refunds accurately and in accordance with hostel policies.
- Assist with managing room inventory and rates to maximize occupancy and revenue.

- **Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain the front desk area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Keep records of guest interactions, transactions, and complaints for reference and reporting purposes.
- Assist in maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with other hostel staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination for guest services and operational needs.
- **Safety and Security**:
- Monitor the lobby area and entrance to ensure the safety and security of guests and property.
- Follow security procedures and protocols to safeguard guest belongings and maintain a secure environment.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or security incidents, following established protocols and procedures.
- **Hospitality and Guest Experience**:
- Foster a culture of hospitality and excellence in customer service among hostel staff.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance and recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Shalom Backpackers Hostel, promoting its unique offerings and values to guests.
**Requirements**:
- Prior experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages such as Hindi or local languages are a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and booking software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the hostel.
- Knowledge of Anjuna, Goa, and surrounding areas is advantageous.
