Location: Khar (West), Mumbai Work days: Monday to Friday Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer **BACKGROUND** Aseema is a purpose-driven organisation working at the intersection of education and social enterprise through two distinct yet interconnected entities: - Aseema Charitable Trust - dedicated to educational initiatives and community impact programs. - Aseema Foundation - the product division that designs and sells handmade products to support and sustain our charitable work. As our work expands in both scope and depth, there is a strong need to build a cohesive communication strategy that enhances awareness, engagement, fundraising, and product sales — and builds Aseema’s reputation as a trusted, creative, and impactful organisation. **PURPOSE** In today’s attention economy, storytelling, digital visibility, and engagement are crucial. Aseema is poised to expand its reach and deepen its impact — but to do so, a structured, intentional communication strategy is critical. This communicator will create powerful storytelling content, manage digital channels, drive audience engagement, support fundraising campaigns, product sales, and lead public relations efforts — ensuring that both Aseema Charitable Trust and Aseema Foundation are consistently and effectively represented to the outside world. **TARGET AUDIENCES** - Donors (institutional and individual) - Volunteers and community supporters - Product customers (local and global) - Local communities (for awareness and participation) - Media and PR partners - Stakeholders and collaborators in the development/social impact space **CURRENT GAPS** - Lack of cohesive communication strategy and content planning - Inconsistent branding and voice - Minimal audience engagement and growth - Limited media outreach and PR - Absence of data-driven content performance analysis **CORE OBJECTIVES** 1. Increase Visibility: Build brand awareness for both the education and product divisions. 2. Engage Stakeholders: Keep donors, volunteers, customers, and partners informed and inspired. Engage the correct audience. 3. Drive Action: Convert engagement into donations, product sales, or volunteering. 4. Establish Brand Voice: Maintain consistency in tone, look, and messaging across platforms. 5. Leverage Media & PR: Position Aseema and its leadership in the public eye through earned media. **SCOPE OF WORK** 1. Content & Storytelling - Create written, visual, and video content: blogs, newsletters, case studies, product stories, reels, and campaign videos. - Work closely with program and product teams to surface and narrate field stories and milestones. 2. Social Media Management - Build and manage a unified content calendar across platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp Business. - Tailor content to each platform with a strong eye for visuals, engagement timing, and audience tone. - Drive follower growth and interaction. 3. Digital Marketing & Analytics - Run digital campaigns (organic + basic paid ads) to support awareness, fundraising, and sales. - Update and optimise website content for user experience and SEO. - Track and report on analytics (reach, conversions, engagement) to inform content strategy. 4. Public Relations - Build relationships with journalists, influencers, and media houses. - Draft and pitch press releases, stories, and media opportunities. - Secure interviews, speaking engagements, and thought leadership features for Aseema’s leadership. 5. Branding & Communication Collateral - Ensure brand consistency across all external and internal communication materials. - Support development of brochures, donor reports, pitch decks, exhibition content, and product catalogues. **SKILLS REQUIRED**: 1. Excellent command over English language 2. Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills 3. Relevant experience of minimum 3-5 years. 4. Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with diverse stakeholders and audiences. 5. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently 6.
