Business Unit Overview:

The BlackRock FP&A team is aligned to the firm’s overall organizational structure in order to appropriately engage with each business unit to deliver key financial management activities. The FP&A mission is enabling the firm to achieve its strategic and business goals from a financial perspective. Specifically, FP&A is responsible for driving:
Effective Business Planning - providing relevant and timely financial intelligence to business partners across the firm through a standardized and consistent set of performance measurements linked with common decision support tools, business standards, language, and rules.

Strategic Resource Allocation - helping to link operations and financial performance, tightly managing performance against strategic goals, and enabling execution of business strategies.

Management of Business Performance - developing and communicating business strategies by curating the definition and measurement of metrics for success.

Job Purpose:
Responsible for supporting regional APAC FP&A Team in India, which include Management and Business Reporting, Data analytics, Budgeting, Forecasting, Adhocs & Project Support.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a strong team of 1/2 analysts/senior analysts
- Lead the team to provide both management and functional oversight to ensure timely and accurate BAU delivery
- Ability to influence decision making for the team and for driving initiatives in the India teaM/Function
- Driving business partnership and supporting partners in deriving business insights/solutions
- Hands-on with creating existing/new management reports (Financials covering flows, revenue, expenses etc.), including partnering on budgeting/forecasting and sharing financial results with global FP&A/businesses teams
- Find opportunities to drive standardization and automation to generate efficiency
- Build strong governance around the processes
- Show desire to work in a constantly evolving, changing and challenging environment

Skills and Qualifications:

- MBA or equivalent degree with proven experience of experience in FP&A (7+ years), covering Variance Analysis, Stakeholder Management, Management Reporting
- Experience of team management & performance Management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in preparation of flash report / dashboards and management review packs
- Experience of working on advanced Excel required. Knowledge of MS Access will be added advantage
- Experience with TM1, Hyperion, Essbase or similar multi-dimensional analytical tools
- Proven ability to constantly evaluate systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies, making recommendations for improvement, creating back-ups for existing processes and ability to guide the team
- Work and deliver under general guidance or mínimal direct supervision
- Ability to handle large data and derive meaningful information
- Analytical bent of mind combined with financial acuity. Well-versed with Finance terminologies
- Ability to quickly understand and connect business drivers
- Ability to establish relationship with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment (not only FP&A team but also across Finance)
- 'Can-do' attitude - willing to contribute at all levels in a small but high performing team environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands
