**Roles and Responsibilities**

Job Mission & Summary of Key Responsibilities:

- Liaison with government and regulatory authorities for procurement of necessary licences for new stores and renew licenses of existing stores.
- 1. Pre-feasibility assistance to Business Development team on new sites, with opinion provided on feasibility of procurement of licenses
- 2. To ensure time bound delivery of licenses for timely store openings as well as to make the system more cost effective
- 3. To float document assessment process with Business Development team to speed up clearance for new sites
- 4. Processing of 5-7 Licenses per new store
- 5. Renewal of 5-7 licenses per store each year
- 6. Review of legal agreements/contracts in view of municipal and regulatory requirements for all new/existing sites
- 7. Assists in developing and ensuring the uniform implementation of permitting and licensing policies and procedures.
- 8. Preparation of regional budget for new store license costs and renewals
- 9. Management of consultant relationships
- 10. Formalising new consultant contracts terms
- 11. Relationship management with regulatory bodies like Municipality, Health Office, S&E, Labour, weights and measures
- 12. To implement e-licensing process for all available opportunities through better understanding with government department in order to reduce renewal cost and time for Licenses being applied through this system
- 13. Resolving court summons, challans and cases
- 14. Assess licensing requirements and updates on all amendments, notifications, bye laws, rules and regulations for west region and to ensure implementation of all applicable changes across the region, if any.
- 15. Updating document management system with record keeping
- 16. Training of store partners on license compliance issues
