**Job Title**: Lab Assistant - Information Technology (UNIX Specialist)

**Location**: SSN College of Engineering

**Job Type**: Full-Time

**Educational Qualification**:

- Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology (CSE/IT) OR
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Computer Science/Information Technology (CSE/IT)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of computer labs.
- Provide technical support to students and faculty for UNIX-based systems and software.
- Ensure proper functioning of lab equipment, networking, and security measures.
- Maintain records of lab activities, software licenses, and equipment inventory.
- Assist in conducting lab sessions, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training.
- Support in troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues in the lab.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies and security best practices within the lab.
- Collaborate with faculty to enhance lab exercises and practical coursework.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in UNIX/Linux systems and IT infrastructure.

**Required Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems and command-line operations.
- Familiarity with shell scripting and basic system administration tasks.
- Understanding of networking concepts, file systems, and security protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for assisting students and faculty.
- Knowledge of virtualization and cloud computing is a plus.
- Experience in maintaining lab environments in an educational institution is desirable.

**Work Experience**:

- 0-2 years of experience in IT support, lab assistance, or UNIX system administration.
- Freshers with strong UNIX knowledge and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
