Industrial Designer

We are looking for a **Industrial / Educational Toy Designer** who is willing to partner with us in this adventure and is thrilled to be a part of this revolution in Early Childhood Education.

The **Industrial Designer** will design Educational products that will stimulate the brain development of our students.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Create/build research-based independent working materials / products for students within the classroom, and eventually for home use following all safety and quality guidelines.
- Design and provide activity kits that build foundational skills and deliver to the development of executive functions in children.
- Give partner school a single solution for educational materials / objects / toys that supplement the Fueling Brains methodology.
- Prepare sketches / 3D models / 3D renditions of detailed drawings, ideas, artwork, illustrations, blueprints, etc. using drafting instruments and computer designing software.
- Evaluate the feasibility of design ideas, based upon factors like safety, appearance, intended learning outcome, budget, function, costs, market characteristics, etc.
- Recommend design, delivery changes, and assist in implementing approved changes.
- Coordinate and direct fabrication of samples or models as required; identify viable sources for materials based on specifications and dimensions.
- Maintain positive, effective communication; professionally manage internal and external relationships with effective communication, training support, tools and resources.
- **Work in a remote team environment of Toy designers and a procurement officer, to effectively deliver the required products in a timely manner.**:

- Represent Fueling Brains with internal and external stakeholders to nurture, support and scale the portfolio within defined budgets, timelines and as per Brand guidelines.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in consumer educational toy design industries/Robotics design
- Experience of developing toys for and from Entertainment properties is a plus.
- Preferable Degree /experience in Industrial Design or equivalent
- Portfolio of professional work
- Good understanding of Adobe Illustrator, photoshop and InDesign.
- Physical material development experience specifically in CAD drawings, product ideation sketching, 3D modelling, photo-realistic 3D rendering is a plus.
- Ability to manage several small and medium-size projects individually and in teams.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, including the ability to engage in one-on-one conversations and present information to large groups.
- Ability to organize multiple work priorities to ensure timely completion of objectives.
- Worked directly with manufacturer to ensure compliance to the design specifications and project timelines
- Ability to work independently utilizing problem solving abilities and administrative judgement.
- Understanding of material science and industrial manufacturing methods is a plus.
