**Civil Structural Designer**

**Background**

Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing an unfailingly safe and secure
source of clean energy using nuclear fission, called the SMR-300. The position is offered by
Holtec Asia as a member of the Holtec International family, a global turnkey supplier of
technologies for the nuclear and sustainable energy industries. Come join a growing
multidisciplinary team designing the solar power plant.

The civil structural designer would be called upon to model and detail reinforced concrete,
structural steel, and ancillary items within the solar power plant. The designs will support
engineering, proposal and licensing requirements, leading to the licensing and construction of
solar power plants. The designer must be eager to learn new skills to create feasible/practical
solutions to challenging design problems. The designer will use and learn various methods and
software to create and evaluate the designs.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare structural steelwork detailing of super-structure and equipment supporting

structures
- Prepare reinforced concrete detailing of super-structure and foundation systems
- Coordinate and perform drawing/drafting work adhering to project requirements and

procedures to produce high quality drawings within stipulated timeframe

- Tel: +91.20.6792.0900 _- Conversant with relevant IS detailing standards along with PIP, OSHA, IS SP34, ACI 315
- etc.
- Prepare or review fabrication drawings to be used by fabricators and constructors
- Assist design team members in their pursuit for timely execution of projects
- Support preparation of design drawings, presentations, and communicate progress in
- stakeholder meetings
- Understanding of vendor drawings and dealing with their interface in civil/structural
- detail drawings
- Good Understanding of plant/equipment layout, coordinate system
- Prepare site plans, grading plans, trench layouts as required for project execution.
- Maintain documentation as per ISO standards and project requirements.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
- 5 years of experience using AutoCAD, Tekla Structures to create 3D models and 2D detailed
- drawings
- Formal training in AutoCAD, Tekla, and Revit
- Conversant in Revit/AutoCAD for concrete structure detailing and Tekla for structural
- steel detailing
- Experience in producing GA drawings and connection details
- Experience in working with engineers and fabricators in developing design drawings

- Knowledge of weld symbols and standard detailing codes
- Capable of reading equipment layouts, piping GA and isometric drawings
- Ability to multi-task and complete work in a timely manner with mínimal supervision
- Display skills and problem-solving approach for resolving site issues
- Produce error free deliverables independently, with self-checking alongside taking
- feedback from other disciplines
- Setting up standard drawings, check list for deliverables
- Capable of addressing client comments with direct interaction if necessary
