Merchandiser

**Job description**

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and develop merchandising strategies
- Analyze sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs plan product range/stock accordingly;
- Collaborate with buyers, suppliers and distributors to analyze and negotiate prices, quantities and time scales;
- Forecast sales timely for all categery including Hard core wood frames
- Monitor stock movement and reordering on time as per sale throughs
- Check and ensure the stores/website are stocked with updated updated product quantities and availabilities.
- Make Recommendations for promotional strategies using sales and pricing data;
- Coordinate with all suppliers and vendors on daily basis for pending orders/new developments/samples etc.;
- Reviewing new samples/developments with designers and management once received from vendors/suppliers;
- Providing feedback about new developments to the vendors/suppliers once reviewed by respective designers and company’s management
- Negotiation with suppliers/vendors to minimize the costing for specific products;
- Executions of new orders with feedback to suppliers/vendors to get it right on the delivery and quality standards
- Inspection of stock received from suppliers and providing quality check report; also by visiting vendors site;
- Coordinating with team for timely photo-shoot/website upload and product descriptions of new received stock/ designs;
- Preparing timely sale throughs for the assigned category to identify popular & top selling styles for further discussion with the management. Also ensuring that all existing products are well stocked as per sale throughs;
- Introducing new vendors/suppliers' catalogue in relation to the category/product's aesthetic that we are dealing with;
- Execution for new developments/new products after getting it approved by the management;
- Well versed on the technical knowledge of hardwood materials including the variety of hardwood used for premium furniture manufacturing along with PO execution, vendor follow ups and on time delivery for developments and orders on the same.Equiped and knowledgeable enough to source raw wood, frame making, development and costing process.
- Able enough to tackle any concern related to particular product and providing solution for the same by following up with suppliers/vendors.
- Keeping track of all orders on daily basis and ordering if there is any customized requirement for the assigned category;
- Updating sales and stock reports, also should be having awareness of available inventory at all times;
- Developing new/alternative vendors/suppliers data simultaneously;
- Having information about the market trends and company's requirements in order to maintain competitiveness in market.

Ensuring for a fruitful completion of all orders/new developments.
- Delivering the cost effective and quality products as per Gulmohar Lane standard.

**Required Skills and Qualification**:

- Preferred Experience in merchandising of wood & Home Furnishing Products including fabrics.
- Knowledge of Furniture Industry
- Strong follow up interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), including the use of MS Word and Excel.
- Presentation, Analyzing and Convincing Skills : should know how to negotiate with vendors
- Best Follow up of TNA (Time and Action Plan)
- Must have Negotiable qualities
- Good knowledge and understanding of Furniture will be an Advantage.
- Good with Marketing Strategies.

**Salary**: From ₹30,000.00 per month
