- **Record Keeping**:They maintain accurate patient records, including histories, examinations, treatments, and progress notes.
- **Compliance and Safety**:DMOs ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control measures.
- **Administrative Duties**:They may be involved in tasks such as patient admissions and discharges, as well as risk management.
- **Communication**:DMOs communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- **Mentorship and Supervision**:In some cases, DMOs may supervise junior doctors and other healthcare staff.
- **Staying Updated**:DMOs are expected to stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continuing education.
