**Responsibilities and Duties**:
**General and Administrative**
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals.
- Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function.
- Supervise the Accounting Team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the General Manager/Owner, the Sales Team, and the Production Team, informing and updating them regularly to make them aware of the current financial position of the company.
- Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals.
- Ensure that proper IT systems are in place for the department and advice the BOD on same
- Ensure proper filling of documents

**Financial Accounting**
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting to the owners and board of directors; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
- Preparation and Finalization of Balance Sheet, Statement of Profit and Loss, relevant schedules as per various laws including Revised Schedule VI of the companies act and section 44AB of the Income Tax Act etc
- Preparation & Filling of various GST returns and other forms
- Ensure timely uploading of various statutory forms etc on the respective regulatory websites

**Auditing**
- Assist the auditors in Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, GST Audit ,Bank Audit etc
- Answers inquiries and provides data for auditors, local, state, or agencies;
- Prepares and maintains mandated documents as require.
- Examines accounting data for accuracy, appropriateness and documentation;
- Audits documents submitted for payment for compliance with board policies & guidelines.
- Recommends solutions

**Taxation, Statutory & Legal Matters**
- Responsible for handling all Direct and Indirect Taxation of the Company and the personal accounting and tax files of the owner family
- Tax Forecasting and assisting in developing tax strategies
- Evaluate different licensing models, provide inputs on sales finance, credit control and deal structuring.

**Accounting And Admin Personnel**
- Initiate hiring when needed to cope with expanding workload or for replacement of substandard employees.
- Provide a positive, motivating example for employees.
- Conduct training or authorize training of accounting and admin employees.
- Conduct formal performance reviews per company policy.
- Initiate disciplinary measures according to company policy when needed and dismiss accounting and admin employees when all corrective attempts have failed.

**Resource acquisition**
- Develop the organization’s funding base to secure present and future service delivery.
- Liaise and negotiate, as appropriate, with the Banks, NBFCs and other funding sources on future service delivery initiatives and developments in conjunction with the BOD.
- Maintain appropriate relations with funders and make reports as necessary, ensuring compliance with all funding contracts.
- Project short and long term requirement of funds

**Financial Control**
- Take all necessary actions to manage total costs and improve profitability.
- Ensure inventories are conducted and accurate records are maintained.
- Advise owner on capital improvements needed to increase company productivity.
- Evaluate production equipment purchases/leases and conduct cost/benefit analyses as to hire or buy decisions etc.

**Cash Management**
- Oversee weekly cash management; Approve weekly payables; Execute check signing
- Oversee AR management and provide support to collections activities.
- Assisting the “Cost Auditor” in all respect so as to satisfactorily close the Cost Audit
