**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Curriculum Delivery**:Develop, implement, and deliver captivating English language and literature lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Program curriculum for middle and senior classes (6th to 10th grade).
Utilize innovative teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles and ignite a passion for language and literature.

Integrate IB approaches to learning, inquiry-based methods, and intercultural awareness into lessons to foster holistic student development.

**Student Engagement and Support**:Cultivate an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment that encourages active participation, collaborative learning, and exploration of literary themes.
Provide personalized guidance to students, nurturing their language skills, analytical thinking, and creativity.

**Assessment and Progress Tracking**:Develop effective assessment strategies, including formative and summative evaluations, to accurately assess student language proficiency, literary comprehension, and growth.
Deliver timely feedback to students, assisting them in setting goals and improving their language and analytical abilities.

**Professional Development**:Stay current with the latest advancements, methodologies, and trends in English education and the IB curriculum.
Participate in workshops, seminars, and professional networks to enhance instructional strategies and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

**Collaboration**:Collaborate actively with fellow educators, department members, and school leadership to align teaching practices, share best practices, and contribute to curriculum enhancement.

**Parent and Community Engagement**:Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas of focus within the English curriculum.
Participate in school events, literary festivals, and parent-teacher conferences to showcase student accomplishments and foster community connections.

**Qualifications**:

- Master's Degree in English or a closely related field.
- IB Certification (Middle Years Programme) in English.
- Proven experience in teaching the IB Middle Years Program English curriculum to middle and senior classes.
- Strong grasp of IB educational philosophy, inquiry-based learning, and intercultural understanding.
- Demonstrated ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional growth and a genuine passion for nurturing students' language and literary development.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Additional certifications in education or specialized training related to English language instruction.
- Proficiency in integrating technology to enhance language and literature teaching and learning experiences.
- Experience in curriculum design, project-based learning, and promoting cross-disciplinary connections.
