The Bid & Proposal Writer is accountable for:

- Participating in sales opportunities for new Managed Services by:

- Writing compelling responses to support our win rate, continuing the success of Managed Services.
- Project managing the Managed Services aspect of the bid process from receipt through to contract award ensuring deadlines are met consistently.
- Providing Managed Service based evidence for bid responses.
- Providing appropriate formal quotes from third party suppliers that will support the service.
- Supporting SDMs with their service renewals by:

- Provision of service costs for previous years.
- Attaining 3rd party quotes for related services.
- Completion of the Managed Services governance materials.
- Submitting renewals through the Approval process.
- Building a library of response questions for reuse in future bids and proposals by
- Reviewing and selecting re-usable bid responses/questions.
- Adding re-useable responses to the PreSales knowledgebase.
- Regularly seek feedback on their use and perceived quality.
- Maintaining the library of Managed Services responses, updating and removing as required.
- Supporting the Head of Service Solutions to:

- Identify opportunities to improve Operational practices and offer solutions to improve efficiency and deliver better outcomes for customers

In addition the Bid & Proposal Writer is responsible for:
(Resourcing and Utilisation)
- Identifying resourcing requirements for new Managed Services.
- Identify opportunities to grow the use of the Off-shore team.

(Sales)
- Assisting bid activity within Managed Services.
- Ensuring that wherever possible Renewals are delivered in a timely way (without work being carried out at risk) and that renewal revenues are maximised including appropriate use of indexation.
- Assisting in the design for new Services including the definition of SLAs.
- Identification and development of case studies.
- Identification and development of generic/frequently required bid material.
- Supporting assurance activities on Managed Services bids and associated Enhancement projects.
- Assist in governance review of New Services and Renewals ensuring that all appropriate stakeholders are involved.

(Commercial)
- Support to ensure template Managed Services contracts are fit-for-use and fit-for-purpose.
- Assisting Service Delivery Managers in defining contracts for new Managed Services.

(Reporting)
- Maintaining the Service Portfolio.

(Values)
- Actively promoting Civica values and is seen as a role model.
