**Position**: Shift Supervisor-Production

**Location**: Pune

**Reporting to**:Production Manager

**Criteria**:BE in chemical with 5+ years of experience in controlling, organizing, coordinating & managing the activities of a Production Department.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Responsible for operating with mínimal supervision and set their own priorities to meet the demands of the position and maintain good records and reporting, flexible and open approach will be needed with the ability to effectively interface.
- Ability to priorities own workload and take decision on time. Specialized knowledge and skills needed to perform the job.
- The requirement is for an experienced handle shift function, ideally with manufacturing and overseas ownership experience.
- knowledge of manufacturing of Unsaturated Polyester resin will be added advantage
- Computer skills in Excel and word. ERP usage preferably SAP

**Job Profile:

- **Shift Supervisor role with the traditional Production functions. Effectively manage shift activities and achieve the company goals and objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle DCS system on continue basis independently.
- Handle distillation column under high pressure, vacuum and temperature
- Daily Production reporting in SAP system. Batch closing in SAP system.
- Able to perform RM & FG Inventory management
- Daily cycle time monitoring of equipment
- Handling of various hazardous chemicals & solvents as per MSDS guidelines with all Safety precautions
- Able to do troubleshooting of process equipment by monitoring process parameters
- Plan and execute various production and dispatch activities
- Follow safety guidelines and ensure safe working culture in Plant
- Able to carry out R&D trial batches with help of R&D Team
- Able to do root cause analysis via various Lean tools
- Complete maintenance activities with follow up to Maintenance department
- Report safety hazard, near miss, unsafe practices & unsafe act
- Maintain good housekeeping & 5S in Plant
- Provide training to contact workers & Operator team from time to time
- Interact with service department and facilitate smooth & safe execution of jobs
- Daily monitoring of operator performance.
- Maintaining Quality of finished goods by communicating with QC dept
- Handle and allocate the manpower as per shift requirement
- Report and address the issues of the operators to production manager as when required
