A **Safety Supervisor** is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of employees in a workplace by identifying hazards, implementing safety protocols, and monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations. The primary focus is to create a safe working environment to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment**:

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Identify potential hazards in the workplace, such as chemicals, machinery, or equipment.
- Assess risks and recommend measures to control or eliminate them.
- **Safety Training & Education**:

- Organize training sessions for employees to raise awareness about safety procedures.
- Educate staff on proper handling of hazardous materials and emergency procedures.
- **Safety Procedures & Policies**:

- Develop and enforce safety policies in accordance with legal and industry standards.
- Create and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation drills and first-aid procedures.
- **Accident Investigation**:

- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare reports on accidents and recommend corrective actions.
- **Compliance with Regulations**:

- Ensure the organization is compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and local safety regulations.
- Maintain records of safety inspections and employee training.
- **Safety Equipment**:

- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of safety equipment such as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), fire extinguishers, and first-aid kits.
- Ensure that employees have access to the necessary safety gear.
- **Monitoring & Reporting**:

- Monitor safety practices and report to management about safety issues.
- Prepare regular safety performance reports, including accident rates and corrective actions taken.

Skills Required:

- **Knowledge of Safety Regulations**: Familiarity with OSHA standards, health and safety laws, and industry-specific regulations.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to spot hazards and take appropriate actions quickly.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to investigate accidents and recommend preventive measures.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong ability to train employees and communicate safety information clearly.
- **Leadership**: Ability to enforce safety protocols and motivate staff to follow them.

Education & Certification:

- A **High School Diploma** is typically required, though a **degree in Occupational Health and Safety**, **Environmental Health**, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as **OSHA 30-hour**, **NEBOSH**, or **Certified Safety Professional (CSP)** can enhance job prospects.

Pay: ₹8,856.85 - ₹37,208.11 per month
