Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup:

- Set up internal grinding machines by installing and adjusting grinding wheels, attachments, and other fixtures according to the specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to determine grinding requirements.

2. Operation:

- Operate grinding machines to perform precision machining on the internal surfaces of metal components.
- Monitor the grinding process to ensure that parts meet specified tolerances and surface finishes.
- Adjust machine settings, such as speed, feed, and coolant flow, to achieve optimal results.

3. Quality Control:

- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments like micrometres, callipers, and bore gauges to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues with the grinding process, making necessary adjustments or repairs.

4. Maintenance:

- Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines, including sharpening or replacing grinding wheels and cleaning equipment.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

5. Safety Compliance:

- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure that all grinding operations comply with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Technical Skills:

- Proficient in operating internal grinding machines and related equipment.
- Knowledge of grinding wheel types, materials, and grinding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Attention to Detail:

- High level of precision and accuracy in machining operations.
- Ability to detect and correct any deviations in the grinding process.
- Problem-Solving:

- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment or machining processes.
- Physical Stamina:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy machine components.
