Purchase Executive/ Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all materials, equipment, and services required by the design and build company. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods at competitive prices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supplier Management**:

- Identify and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery times.
- Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance and resolve any issues.
- **Sourcing and Procurement**:

- Analyze project requirements and prepare procurement plans.
- Source materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure best value for money.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- **Contract Management**:

- Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
- Manage contract execution and administration.
- Monitor contract compliance and performance.
- **Cost Management**:

- Maintain budgetary controls and manage procurement expenses.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives.
- Report on cost variances and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Oversee inventory levels to ensure availability of materials for ongoing projects.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize excess stock and reduce waste.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand and fulfill project needs.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to ensure smooth procurement operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement,
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
