**Location**: New Delhi, India

**Position Overview**:
As a Lab Chemist specializing in wastewater analysis, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive chemical analyses of wastewater samples. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, assessing water quality, and contributing to the overall management of wastewater treatment processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Sample Collection and Preparation**:

- Collect wastewater samples from various points in the treatment process.
- Prepare samples for analysis, ensuring proper handling and preservation.
- **Chemical Analysis**:

- Perform a range of chemical analyses on wastewater samples using standard laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Test for parameters such as pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), nutrients, heavy metals, and other relevant indicators.
- **Instrument Operation**:

- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and titration equipment.
- Troubleshoot instrument issues and perform routine calibrations.
- **Data Interpretation and Reporting**:

- Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and presenting data in a clear and understandable format.
- **Quality Control**:

- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and precision of analytical results.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Stay current with environmental regulations related to wastewater treatment and discharge.
- Ensure that laboratory procedures and analyses comply with regulatory requirements.
- **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other departments, environmental engineers, and regulatory agencies as needed.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Lab Chemist with a focus on wastewater analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant testing methods and laboratory techniques.
- **Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in using laboratory instruments.
- **Communication**:

- Effective communication skills in English for reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

**Preferred**:
**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Rotational shift
