**Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated Research Intern to join our team specialising in backtesting.. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quantitative research, financial analysis, and the development of systematic trading strategies. As a research intern, you will work closely with our team of experienced professionals to conduct rigorous backtesting, analyse data, and contribute to the refinement of trading models.

**Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include**:
1. Conduct thorough backtesting of trading strategies using historical data to assess performance and viability.

3. Document and maintain detailed records of backtesting methodologies, results, and findings for future reference.

4. Collaborate with team members to optimize trading strategies based on backtesting results and statistical analysis.

5. Prepare clear and concise presentations or reports summarizing backtesting results and recommendations for further analysis.

6. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather financial data and facilitate smooth communication processes.

7. Participate in conference calls with external parties to coordinate financial processes and ensure timely completion of tasks.

8. Monitor financial software and tools, assisting with data input and analysis to support investment decision-making.

9. Proactively reach out to inactive clients, offering the company's investment advice and strategies to reactivate their accounts.

10. Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by the finance team.

**Requirements**:

- Currently pursuing or having completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB is preferred not mandatory.
- Knowledge of financial markets, trading concepts, and familiarity with backtesting methodologies.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to present findings and ideas clearly and professionally.
