Position Title: Clinic Receptionist

Department: Front Desk/Reception
Reports To: Doctor
Job Summary:
The Clinic Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for managing the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment, handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and performing administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet Patients and Visitors: Welcome patients and visitors warmly as they enter the clinic, ensuring a positive first impression.
Patient Registration: Assist patients with the registration process, including gathering personal, insurance, and medical information, and entering this data into the clinic’s management system.
Phone Management: Answer and direct incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and take detailed messages when necessary.
Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information prior to appointments and communicate coverage details to patients as needed.
Billing and Payments: Collect co-pays, process payments, and provide receipts to patients. Assist with billing inquiries and discrepancies.
Maintain Patient Records: Ensure patient information is up to date and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage Waiting Area: Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and comfortable for patients and visitors.
Coordinate with Medical Staff: Communicate patient arrival and appointment updates to medical staff promptly.
Office Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, copying documents, and maintaining office supplies.
Handle Emergencies: Recognize urgent situations and communicate immediately with the appropriate medical personnel.
Other Duties as Assigned: Participate in other tasks as required to support clinic operations.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
Experience: Prior experience in a medical office, customer service, or reception role preferred.
**Skills**:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
Full-time based on clinic hours.
May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on clinic hours.

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹8,000.00 per month
