Your key responsibilities
Manage the accuracy of the actuals and acts as controller for India region in the month end closing period. Leading month end closing will be the primary tasks.
Manage external and internal audits and liaise with all stakeholders.
Management support in decision making and analytical view
Working on performance reporting, Danaher initiatives
Responsible for performance and maintenance of reconciliations and documenting the same for all departments in Blackline (reporting tool)
Manage reporting, statistics, Finance KPI’s, Reviews of month end activities.
Maintaining Expense Review Database (Visual Basic knowledge or be prepared to learn this)
Lead projects for new tasks, legacy and improvement of processes in the GL
In depth knowledge of the Revenue recognition and margin analysis
Assess and learn new tasks coming to the team - resource versus skill analysis.
Gain a sound understanding of the different roles and tasks in the GL team.
Reviewing and analyzing financial transactions and/or activities to ensure accurate accounting
Preparing and reviewing journal entries pertaining to month end close as needed.
Signaling and reporting potential fiscal issues on a pro-active basis
Performing analytical reviews and providing information to internal stakeholders.
Proficient in mapping processes and writing SOP’s

**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**:
Finance related education coupled with 5 -10 years of relevant working experience in GL accounting in preferably a production and business-to-business environment
Chartered Accountant is must
Strong technical accounting and compliance background
Strong Excel and preferable modelling experience.
Good understanding of internal control concepts
Practical knowledge of business processes, ERP systems and financial reporting systems.
Experience with Oracle is preferred
Proficiency in English is essential, written and verbal
Experience in working in international matrix organization; preferably SSC experience
Knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
Customer service oriented (internal and external)
Ongoing training and self-improvement are essential with a view to improve processes through a continuous improvement point of view
