Job Title: Chef de Partie (CDP) - Indian Cuisine
Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
- **Menu Planning and Development**:
- Contribute to the creation and development of the Indian cuisine menu.
- Stay updated on current food trends, seasonal ingredients, and traditional Indian recipes.
- **Food Preparation and Cooking**:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes with precision and authenticity.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
- **Kitchen Management**:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen team within the Indian cuisine section.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- **Quality Control**:
- Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished dishes to meet the established standards.
- Address and rectify any issues or inconsistencies in a timely manner.
- **Training and Development**:
- Train junior kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and adherence to recipes.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen.
- **Cost Control**:
- Assist in managing food costs by minimizing wastage and controlling portion sizes.
- Work with the Head Chef to develop strategies for cost-effective menu planning.
- **Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure a seamless and efficient kitchen operation.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to maintain harmony in the overall restaurant operation.
- **Adaptability**:
- Stay adaptable to changes in the menu, kitchen procedures, and restaurant requirements.
- Quickly respond to special requests and dietary restrictions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, with a focus on Indian cuisine.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian culinary techniques, spices, and traditional recipes.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized culinary institution.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
- Understanding of hygiene and safety regulations.
- Creativity and passion for delivering high-quality Indian cuisine.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
