**Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)**:
As a Graphic Designer & Video Editor Intern, your primary KRAs will revolve around supporting our social media marketing efforts through the creation and editing of both static and dynamic visual content.
- **Social Media Content Design**: Design visually engaging graphics, images, and short animations for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.) as per client and internal brand guidelines.
- **Video Content Creation & Editing**: Produce and edit short-form video content (e.g., Reels, Shorts, stories, short ads) from raw footage or existing assets, incorporating text overlays, music, and effects.
- **Brand Collateral & Motion Graphics Support**: Assist in the creation of basic brand collateral and simple motion graphics elements for clients and Social Sparrow.
- **Design Concept & Ideation**: Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative design and video concepts for social media campaigns and client projects.
- **Adherence to Brand & Platform Guidelines**: Ensure all design and video work aligns strictly with established brand guidelines and platform-specific best practices (e.g., aspect ratios, duration).
- **Feedback Incorporation & Iteration**: Proactively seek and effectively incorporate feedback from senior designers and team members to refine both graphic and video designs and improve overall quality.
- **File Management & Organization**: Maintain organized design and video project files, assets, and project folders for easy access and collaboration.

**Selected Intern's Day-to-Day Responsibilities include**:

- **Designing Social Media Posts**: Creating a consistent flow of engaging static images, carousels, infographics, and stories for various client social media channels, adhering to brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
- **Editing Short-Form Videos**: Sourcing, editing, and optimizing video clips (e.g., client testimonials, product demos, trending audio clips) into engaging short-form content suitable for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- **Developing Ad Creatives**: Crafting visually appealing graphics and dynamic video ads specifically for social media advertising campaigns, designed to capture attention and drive conversions.
- **Adding Motion & Effects**: Incorporating text overlays, music, transitions, and basic animation effects to static graphics and video content to enhance engagement.
- **Participating in Creative Brainstorms**: Actively contributing ideas and visual/video concepts during team meetings for new campaign themes, content series, and client pitches.
- **Reviewing & Iterating Designs**: Incorporating feedback from senior team members to refine both graphic and video content, making necessary revisions, and ensuring final output meets quality standards.
- **Organizing Digital Assets**: Efficiently managing and organizing raw footage, design files, project assets, and finished deliverables in designated folders for easy retrieval and team collaboration.
- **Staying Updated with Trends**: Researching and staying informed about the latest social media design and video trends, popular audio, platform updates, and competitor creative strategies.
- **Software Proficiency**:

- Proficiency in **Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator** is essential for graphic design.
- Strong proficiency in **Adobe Premiere Pro** or **DaVinci Resolve** for video editing is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with **Canva** is a plus.
- Experience with **After Effects** for motion graphics is an added advantage.
- **Portfolio Requirement**: A strong online portfolio (Behance, Dribbble, personal website, or a well-curated Google Drive/Vimeo/YouTube link) showcasing **both graphic design and video editing skills** and creativity is **mandatory**. We want to see your unique visual style and storytelling abilities.
- **Understanding of Social Media Trends**: A keen interest in and practical understanding of current social media design trends, video formats (e.g., vertical video for Reels/Shorts), platform best practices, and digital marketing visuals.
- **Creativity & Storytelling**: Demonstrates strong creative flair, an eye for aesthetics, and the ability to tell compelling visual stories through both static images and dynamic video.
- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous attention to detail in all design work, including typography, color grading, audio synchronization, and visual consistency.
- **Communication Skills**: Ability to clearly articulate design and video concepts and effectively incorporate constructive feedback.
- **Proactive & Eager to Learn**: A self-starter who is eager to learn new design and editing techniques, explore creative solutions, and contribute positively to a team environment. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
