**Industry**: - Logistic company **Position**: - Executive (Forwarding & Clearance) **Experience**: - 6 to 10Years of relevant experience with clearing agencies or freight forwarding companies **Salary**: - 4.65 LPA **Location**: - Kolkata **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - **OPERATIONAL**_ - Ensure that all documents required for clearance are received from the service delivery team prior to arrival of the shipment in or outside the country - Scrutinize the documents and forward the same to Clearing House Agents (CHA) for preparation of documentation - Ensure that the documents are processed by CHA, original passport obtained by service delivery executive for custom clearance purpose - Follow up with the surface shipping (SS) line or airline for the arrival of the shipment in or outside the country. - Obtain the delivery orders/release order from the SS line or the airline. - Ensure that the shipment is checked from the SS line container for inspection purposes. - Ensure that a survey is conducted by the shipping line surveyor in case of any exceptions noticed. In case of any damage to the container, ensure that the marine surveyor inspects the container. - Initiate and ensure process in place for customs inspection. - Accompany the shipper to the port in case his presence is required. - Convey the duty figure and other expenses to be incurred for custom duty, demurrage, port rent etc. to service delivery executive to seek approval from the customer or booking agent. - Ensure that shipment is cleared in accordance with the instructions received from service delivery executive. - Settle all advance voucher within two working days of clearance. - Ensure original passport is received from port and is handed over to service delivery executive. - Approve CHA bills for services rendered. - Obtain data from port about shipments handled by all relocation companies - Take regular updates from CHA about port activities, destuffing & necessary documents required for clearance and keep service delivery executive posted. - To be the one point of contact between shipping line, port in-charge & service delivery executives for regular updates on shipment. - Ensure timely custom clearance after paying necessary custom charges - Look after the pet shipment and necessary approvals & documents required for the same. - **CUSTOMER**_ - Provide professional guidance to customers on issues such as required customs documentation and regulations - Build, sustain and leverage long term relationships with key clients **Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹465,000.00 per year Schedule: - Day shift **Experience**: - Logistics: 6 years (preferred) Ability to Relocate: - Kolkata, West Bengal: Relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person **Speak with the employer** +91 7486030547
