**Responsibilities**:
1 Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as
JAW BORING
KNOWLEDGE OF TOOLS AND INSERTS
TOOL SETUP ON TURRET
TAKING TOOL OFFSETS
PROGRAMMING ON SIEMENS CONTROLLER
PROGRAMMING ON FANUC CONTROLLER
2 Understand specifications of the task at hand. Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
3 Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
4 Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
5 Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three
- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
6 Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
7 Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
8 Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
9 Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
10 Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
11 Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Skills/Requirements
1 Proven experience as CNC operator. Please mention number of years.
2 Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
3 Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
4 Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
5 Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
6 A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
7 Good communication abilities
8 High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus
9 Successfully completed apprenticeship is required
10 Knowledge and handling of following is necessary
