4-5 years of Experience in Design - Plumbing, FF & FA, Knowledge of Industry Std. is must. Conceptual knowledge about the whole system, Practical View towards installation of the services, Capacity Calculations, Heat Load etc.,Specialised Design Course in Particular Trade will be an added advantage.

**Job Summary**:
The Design & Estimation Engineer for Mechanical Trades will be responsible for creating detailed designs, performing estimations, and preparing project proposals for Public Health Engineering (PHE), plumbing, fire fighting (FF), and fire alarm (FA) systems. The role involves working closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure systems are designed to meet both client specifications and regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design & Drafting**:

- Develop detailed designs for PHE, plumbing, FF & FA systems using CAD software.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate systems into building designs.
- **Estimation**:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for PHE, plumbing, FF & FA systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate and competitive bids.
- Review and update estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Project Coordination**:

- Work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases of projects.
- Participate in site visits to gather information and verify project progress.
- **Documentation**:

- Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation, including design calculations, technical reports, and project records.
- Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs (MTO) based on design documents.
- **Compliance & Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure that all designs and estimates meet industry standards, regulations, and company quality assurance protocols.
- Stay updated on changes to building codes and standards related to PHE, plumbing, FF & FA systems.
- **Client Interaction**:

- Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical advice.
- Present designs and estimates to clients and stakeholders as needed.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Participate in post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement in design and estimation processes.
- Stay informed about new technologies and methods in PHE, plumbing, FF & FA systems.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in design and estimation for PHE, plumbing, FF & FA systems.
- Proven experience with AutoCAD or other design software.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as NFPA, IPC, and local building regulations.
- **Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Project.
