**Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.**
**The Opportunity**
You’ll collaborate closely with our talented People Business Partners, highly qualified Employment Counsel, Compliance, and business leaders to foster a positive and ethical workplace culture that reflects Nutanix core values and culture principles. This role is based in-office and will provide on-the-ground partnership for India-based teams, ensuring alignment with local workplace expectations and company standards.
**About the Team**
The Global Employee Relations team is a passionate group of professionals dedicated to maintaining a positive and productive work environment across Nutanix’s global footprint of ~7,800 employees. In the Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region, we support over 650 employees across 12 countries.
We work as a collaborative, connected team that values knowledge-sharing, continuous learning, and mutual support. You will report directly to the Senior Director & Global Head of Employee Relations, based in San Jose, California, and partner closely with colleagues worldwide to drive consistency, fairness, and impact in our ER practices.
**Your Role**
In this role, you will provide trusted, hands-on ER partnership and guidance to managers, employees and People Business Partners across India. Your work will balance policy compliance, conflict resolution and alignment with Nutanix’s culture and leadership principles.
- ** Employee Relations & Case Management**- Partner with leaders, People Business Partners, Legal, and other stakeholders to address performance, conduct and workplace concerns in a fair, balanced, and compliant manner.
- Conduct workplace reviews and investigations independently or in partnership with senior ER colleagues, ensuring thorough documentation and sound recommendations.
- Provide on-site ER support to leaders and employees, ensuring alignment with workplace expectations, policies and organizational culture.
- Employ trust, integrity and discretion in influencing decisions and guiding outcomes.
- ** Conflict Management & Advisory**- Act as a trusted advisor who can diffuse tension, facilitate dialogue, and work toward constructive resolution.
- ** Data & Insights**- Analyze ER trends and recommend data-driven process and program improvements.
- ** Programs & Enablement**- Design and deliver training, presentations, and workshops.
- Support global and regional ER programs, such as implementation of case management systems, process enhancements, and compliance initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to global ER initiatives and projects to enhance team effectiveness, scalability, and employee experience.
**What You Will Bring**
- Bachelor’s degree or local undergraduate equivalent required in a related field.
- 10+ years experience in either Employee Relations, Human Resources or a related HR discipline within a high-tech or fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR practices in India is required; experience across other Asia region countries is a plus.
- Proven ability to navigate sensitive and high-impact cases with sound judgment, discretion and professionalism. Must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to and advising senior leaders.
- Strong interpersonal awareness and consulting skills, with the ability to build trust, “read the room,” and adapt communication style to influence effectively.
- Sound judgment and discretion, with a demonstrated passion for resolving conflict and fostering productive relationships at all levels of the organization, including the ability to instill a sense of fairness and empathy.**How we work**
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
