**Job Description: Junior Lighting Designer**

**Job Overview**

Lighting Designers plan and design lighting and electrical systems for various fields and industries. They collaborate primarily with Architects, Interior Designers, and Engineers on various projects like Residential, Commercial, Landscape, and Hospitality.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Preparation of Lux calculation reports in DIALux Evo software.
- Prepare Electrical drawings and coordinate with the Architect/Interior Designer/Client for revisions in the layout and design.
- Updating the lighting design layouts and lux calculation reports as per the latest changes.
- Attending Design meetings with Architect/Interior Designer on-site or in their office.
- Collaborating with the design team on the lighting design layout, BOQ, and lux calculation reports and updating the same to the reporting manager.
- Discussing the design requirements of the client, ceiling height and type, sections, and elevations with the Sales team.
- Preparing the lighting layout in AutoCAD software in line with the required design parameters.
- Attend Design and Production meetings, read publications, and study competing products and design styles to obtain a broader perspective on the market.
- Generate design concepts, test luminaires and lamps for lighting quality and distribution.
- Plan and create visually appealing architectural lighting.
- Preparing presentations and Bill of Quantity for the project designed and presenting the same before the clients/consultants/architects.
- Coordinate with internal departments to provide the best quality services in terms of planning and pricing.
- Site visit - whenever required.

**Skills**
- Excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal) in English.
- Strong proficiency in Photoshop, 3D software such as Rhino, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, and lighting calculation tools like Relux, Calculux, Lumen Micro, DIALux Evo, or AGi32.
- Should be comfortable with MS Excel, PowerPoint.
- Provide support in the production of deliverables during concept to tender stages.
- Editing in Photoshop to illustrate the lighting design concepts of CGIs.
- Photometric modeling and calculations on digital sketching, illustrating the lighting design solutions with the ability to visually communicate lighting principles.
- Design background education is a must.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must. DIALux Evo software training will be provided by the company.
- Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines and stay focused under pressure.
- Willingness to work as part of a highly motivated team through collaboration and open communication.
