Education Counsellor

**Job description**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced **Education Counsellor to join our IT Training Institute**. As an Education Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing **guidance and support to students interested in pursuing IT courses**. Your role will involve understanding students' career goals, assessing their skills, and recommending appropriate IT training programs to help them achieve their objectives. You will also be responsible for promoting our institute's offerings, addressing student inquiries, and assisting with the enrollment process.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Student Guidance and Counselling**:

- Meet with prospective students to understand their career aspirations, interests, and educational backgrounds.
- Assess students' skills, aptitude, and prior experience to recommend suitable IT training courses and programs.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information about the institute's curriculum, course offerings, certification options, and career prospects in the IT industry.
- Address students' concerns, queries, and objections, and offer solutions to help them make informed decisions.

**2. Enrollment Assistance**:

- Coordinate with the admissions team to facilitate the enrollment process and ensure a smooth transition for students.
- Explain tuition fees, payment options, and available scholarships or financial aid programs to help students make financial arrangements.

**3. Promotion and Marketing**:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective strategies to promote the institute's IT training programs.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, and other events to represent the institute and attract potential students.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, and other educational institutions to generate student referrals.
- Utilize online platforms and social media channels to raise awareness about the institute's offerings and engage with prospective students.

**4. Student Relationship Management**:

- Maintain regular contact with enrolled students to ensure their progress, address any concerns, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Collaborate with instructors and trainers to gather feedback on student's progress and adjust counselling strategies accordingly.

**5. Administrative Tasks**:

- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, inquiries, and enrolment details using CRM systems or other relevant tools.
- Prepare reports on student recruitment, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of counselling efforts.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and changes in IT certifications to provide the most relevant information to students.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, counselling, or a related IT discipline.
- Proven experience in education counselling, career guidance, or student admissions, preferably in the IT training sector.
- Strong knowledge of the IT industry, certifications, and career pathways.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and educational institutions effectively.
- Ability to assess student's skills, aptitude, and career goals to recommend suitable training programs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
